VISIT OF VARIOUS INDIAN AMERICAN SENIOR CENTERS/ ORGANIZATIONS IN THE BAY AREA, CA.

I visited the Saratoga Indian American Senior Center, Saratoga,CA on 17 May 2012. Seniors meets here on every Thursday. It was arranged with the courtesy of Vinita Mahajani, Arun Padwekar, and Mercy. I  talked to them regarding Seniors Health and Happiness. Besides that also put forward view that it is essential to have federation of Indian American Seniors for solving the common problems.

VISIT TO SENIOR GROUP MEETING UNDER "INSAF" AT FREMONT SENIOR CENTER

The above visit was arranged with the help of President Surendra Dalal and Krishnaswamy Narsihman, Secretary on 10 TH July 2012. They gave me opportunity to talk to Seniors regarding developing various hobbies in order to keep them healthy and happy. I also requested the organizers to find the way to organize Indian American Senior Federation in Bay Area. The Mayor of Milpitas, CA was Chief Guest.

My  Visit to India Community Center, Fremont,CA
===================================
I visited the India Community Center, Fremont on 17th July 2012. They had ‘Yoga’ from 10.00 Am to 11.00 Am. Thereafter there was a discussion, Few  Devotional Songs and Jokes offered by Members. There was interesting presentation by Balram Sharma on philosophical and spiritual subjects. Ramji presented very melodious songs from hindi movies which were received very well. The session was well handled by Gurmukh Singh . I presented the  talk  on ‘The positive approach in the life’.  I also recited poem regarding Ageing with few Jokes in Hindi.  The proceeding was conducted in Hindi which was also appreciated. I could also meet few old  friends like Ramji, Mr and Mrs Bhalla. It was well attended session.

100 Member Seniors Group, Fremont Temple, Fremont,CA
(PROGRAMS ON 2ND AND FORTH FRIDAY.)

It was a pleasure to witness the program of the above group on 27 Th July 2012. There was a Varieties in programs from Talk to Sayaris, Gazals, Songs and Poems. Ramesh Patel handled the program very well. The proceedings were in Gujarati as most of the members were from Gujarati community.
Antani, Babubhai, Girishbhai, Mankad, Pinakinbhai,Sushilaben Desai and Rameshbhai Patel all members presented melodious Songs,Shayari etc. It was received very well. Sharmaji one of the senior members, presented talk on 'The significance of 'Raksha Bandhan'
I presented as guest speaker talk on ' The Health and Happiness of Seniors' in Gujarati and also presented my song and few jokes. Dr Maheshbhai Rawal presented Gazals and Shayaries. Pragnaben Dabawala presented Gujarati songs of Zaverchand Meghani. Another Guest Rajubhai also presented popular movie songs. All those presentations were received very well by members.
Ramanbhai Desai proposed vote of Thanks.

GUJARATI SENIORS MITRA MANDAL- FREMONT,CA.

It was one of the good meetings attended by me. The meeting was presided by Urmilabahen Patel, known social worker. Raman Desai, Senior Social Activist Assisted her in conducting the meeting. The meeting was attended by prominent seniors Surendra Dalal and Ramesh Patel.
Raman Desai introduced me to the Seniors regarding my Senior activities in the Silicon Valley. Thereafter presented talk regarding 'The way to Happiness and Healthy Life. It was added with quotations, poems and songs.
Urmilabahen Patel gave information regrading forthcoming Senior activities and presented devotional songs. Saraubahen sang one song written by Ravindranath Tagore. Sushilabahen Desai presented devotional song and Surendra Dalal sang Krishna Dhun. All members joined with him in devotional chanting.
Ramesh Patel presented one short story regarding controlling the Ego while Raman Desai gave talk regarding old age.
The program was very interesting and was received well.

My visit to Senior Center, Attached to Jain Center, 722 S. Main Street, Milpitas-95035, CA as on 9 Th September 2012

I visited the above Center on 09/09/2012 which was very interesting and pleasant. It was well organized by Ramnikbhai Gohel with the coordination of enthusiastic Prarnabahen. She handled the seniors very Politely and Tactfully.
Ramnikbhai, Prarnabahen, Kishorbhai, Mahendrabhai, Dhaneshbhai, along with Senior Ladies Kokilabahen, Sailajabahen, Nirubahen presented their views on significance and objectives of 'Pajusan Festival in the Jain Dharma. All most all Seniors participated in the discussion.
Sailaja Jain also presented one poems in Hindi on ' How the American Indian have made adjustments with the American Life. Dr Lodha also took 'Yoga ' session wherein all seniors took part very actively.
Bharat Desai presented talk on 'How to live Healthy and Happy life?' He gave them some hints for Healthy and Happy life from his own practical experiences. 
It was very interesting and informative session. The session ended with vote of Thank.

My visit to BAYVP Senior Center at Milpitas, CA as on 20 Th October 2012.

Manish Patel introduced Yoga teacher Mahendrabhai.Thereafter program started with the Yoga by Mahendrabhai from 11.Am to 12.15 Am. It was very interesting with full of humor. It was received very well by seniors.
Dipikabahen introduced Guest Speaker Bharat Desai to the Seniors. Bharat Desai gave talk on' The Art of Living- Healthy and Happy Life' for seniors along with substantiating several Instances, Peoms and Shayarie.
Kalpanabahen then played poem of Late Suresh Dalal which was based on Seniors. It was received well and seniors enjoyed it by dancing thereon.
Manish Patel and Dipikabahen and their team handled the program very well in order to make it very interesting and lively.
The lunch was served at the end of program by 1.00Pm.

The above meeting was in connection with the immigration reform issues which were mainly presented by Richard Hobbs. The paper regarding all immigration issues was handed over to Zoe Lofgren along with personal presentation thereon.
I presented regarding the reduction in the present application fees of Citizenship i.e. In context of high inflammatory trend and bad economy. Besides that I also added that it is very difficult to pay such high fees for immigrants who are living in poverty line and those who are on well fare.
I also pleaded that Citizenship test may be taken in the Mother language of the immigrants who are more then 60 years old. The immigrant seniors are finding it difficult to pass the Citizenship test on account of poor knowledge of the English and difficulties regarding proper understanding of the language.
